It was a bittersweet evening in DC as Court TV gathered cable affiliates and education partners to toast the 10th anniversary of its award-winning "Choices & Consequences" youth program and unveil "Court TV Choices," the effort’s new name. Education officials lauded the award-winning program for its influence on millions of youth. Beneath the joyful exterior, those officials joined a small contingent of shell-shocked Court TV personnel in wondering about the future of the initiative under new boss Turner. One Court TV official summed it up: "We don’t know if we’ll have jobs, but I hope [Turner] keeps this program, it does so much good." — NAMIC said a Carolinas chapter will launch Mon. Time Warner Cable’s Carmen Elliott was named pres; Stacy Kline secretary and Ricky Moore treasurer. Southern Entertainment TV’s Julius Colter was named vp.
