Alaska Communications achieved the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) hat trick of being the first company in Alaska, the second in the United States and the third in the world to achieve certification and to offer certified Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE 2.0) services. CE 2.0 extends Carrier Ethernet by adding multiple classes of service, greater manageability; easier interconnect for eight standard service types and greater mobile-backhaul efficiency. “Our business customers have critical needs and require reliable, modern Ethernet services.
