The American Cable Association honored Norm Mills, president of Colstrip Cable TV Inc., for his extensive service to the organization. Mills, a founding member, was bestowed with the title of Emeritus Board Member at a special event held at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., on the eve of the organization’s annual Washington Summit, April 17. Patrick Knorr, chairman of the ACA and general manager of Sunflower Broadband, said of Mills’ many contributions to the ACA: "Norm Mills is the rock of the association."

CableWorld’s Prized Artists

CableWorld captured a trio of trophies for graphic excellence in the Graphic Design USA American Inhouse Design Awards contest, besting some 4,000 entries. The winners: The NFL Calendar, designed by Dimitry Ehzarhov and directed by senior art director Mark Cavich; the Faith & Values Supplement by Mark Cavich; and the March 6, 2006, issue by Mark Cavich.

Comcast’s Roberts Receives Mass Acclaim

Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts received the Key Industry Player of the Year award from the Massachusetts Network Communications Council at the organization’s annual awards dinner held April 4 in Cambridge, Mass. Roberts was honored by MassNetComms for Comcast’s role in keeping Massachusetts a technology leader. The organization lobbies on behalf of the state’s voice and data communications companies.
