Time Warner Cable put an end to the speculation, announcing that chmn/CEO Glenn Britt will indeed retire at year’s end.

Rob Marcus, currently pres/COO, will succeed him, effective Jan 1. Britt’s retirement was announced at a TWC board meeting today. Marcus was elected to the company’s board.
