T-Mobile USA Inc. marked the 10th anniversary of its T-Mobile brand in the United States by making its new "Unlimited Nationwide" 4G Data plan available in stores today. The operator says it’s the only carrier with a nationwide 4G network to offer unlimited nationwide 4G data…Broadpeak, a provider of content delivery networks (CDN) and video-on-demand (VOD) servers for cable, IPTV, OTT and hybrid TV operators, today launched nanoCDN, a CDN technology that leverages home networks to help reduce infrastructure investments for operators and to enable them to deliver high-quality video services to end users. The first application of nanoCDN will be used for live OTT video delivery, with more apps supported in the future…Harmonic added 4:2:2 decoding capabilities to its ProView 7100 integrated receiver-decoder (IRD), transcoder, and stream processor. The IRD’s SD and HD decoder can support 4:2:2 compressed video streams in both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC 8/10-bit formats. The ProView 7100 supports single-channel decoding, MPEG-4 AVC-to-MPEG-2 transcoding, and DVB descrambling.
