According to industry analysts, sub-10 nanosecond accurate timing is essential for operation of TD-LTE and LTE-Advanced networks that will bring gigabit broadband connectivity to mobile devices, with predictions that IEEE1588v2 will become the de facto standard in 4G mobile networks.
