Auto Configuration Server 2.0 device-management software from Incognito Software supports PON, DOCSIS, ADSL, WiMAX and more. Telecom and cable providers now can monitor and regulate subscriber device thresholds based on a range of reporting parameters, from amount of bandwidth used to average session time, the company says. It also reportedly decreases opex by minimizing truck rolls and accelerating time-to-revenue for new service deployments. From a subscriber standpoint, Auto Configuration Server 2.0 has the added benefit of device backup and restore, which allows operators to automatically replicate settings in a subscriber’s replacement device.
