NeuStar Expands DNS in Europe

NeuStar has deployed a new UltraDNS network node in Amsterdam, Holland. The new node is the third in Europe along with London and Luxembourg. The new node is located at Telecity’s Amsterdam facility, which is part of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange.
NeuStar’s global managed domain name system (DNS) infrastructure consists of network nodes across five continents. Each node is a self-contained cluster of proprietary servers, systems, and data that improves response times for each region’s Internet users. Within the UltraDNS network, end user DNS requests are typically routed to the closest geographic network node available. (For more on DNS technology issues, click here).
