A license under the Wireless Mesh Patent Portfolio of inventions owned by SIPCO LLC and IntusIQ (the former IPCO LLC) now is available from MPEG LA (for more information, click here).

MPEG LA manages licensing programs consisting of 6,000 patents in 74 countries with 159 licensors and some 5,000 licensees.

The company says the Wireless Mesh Patent Portfolio includes “essential wireless networking technologies used in ZigBee, Z-Wave, IEEE 802.15.4, WirelessHART, EnOcean, 6LoWPAN, proprietary mesh network and other applications in a variety of areas; these include smart grid, building automation, industrial controls, network backhaul, smart vehicles, home appliances, home automation, home entertainment, sensor monitoring and Internet service provisioning.”
