Comcast isn’t the only cable op with a TiVo deal. The PVR maker reached an agreement with independent cable operator co-op NCTC. Benton Cablevision of Rice, MN, is the 1st of NCTC’s 1000+ members to deploy the standalone DVR service. A key difference between the NCTC deal and TiVo’s Comcast deal is that many of the smaller ops were previously unable to make DVRs available to subs.
