The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) has issued its annual call for nominations for the Vanguard Awards. Now in its 43rd year, the Vanguard Awards honor the cable industry’s foremost leaders and dedicated professionals whose accomplishments merit the recognition of the entire cable industry. The awards are scheduled to be presented at a special luncheon on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 during The 2008 Cable Show, NCTA’s 57th Annual Convention and International Exposition. Cable ’08 runs May 18-20, 2008, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Nominations for the Vanguard Awards are due to NCTA by Friday, March 7, 2008, and further information and nomination forms are available at
