— Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation, a provider of advanced IC solutions for carrier and enterprise networks, says the VSC7223 signal conditioner is the latest member of its low-power, multiprotocol, adaptive EQNOX family of signal conditioners that use FlexEQ technology. With data-rate support of as much as 16 Gbps, the four-channel VSC7223 can be used in high-speed, high-bandwidth data centers or in long-haul-network transport equipment. It supports such protocols as 16G Fibre Channel (FCIA, FC-PI-5), 14G FDR (Infiniband, Vol 2, Release 1.3) and 10G/40G/100G Ethernet (IEEE802.3).

HomePlug AV is baseline technology for the IEEE 1901 standard, and more than 120 million HomePlug Certified devices have shipped worldwide. In addition, HomePlug Green PHY technology is interoperable as a certification profile of the IEEE 1901 standard. In 2012, the HomePlug Alliance joined with the Wi-Fi Alliance and ZigBee Alliance to create the Consortium for Smart Energy Profile 2 Interoperability to create the interoperability testing programs for certification of SEP2 products.
