NCTA tapped big names from cable news for National like CNBC’s Ron Insana ("Street Signs"), who’ll moderate Sun’s opening general session, which boasts a panel with Paul Allen, Cablevision’s Tom Rutledge and Yahoo! Co-founder Jerry Yang. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will oversee Mon’s session as Comcast’s Brian Roberts takes the stage with Cisco chief John Chambers, DreamWorks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg, AOL’s Jon Miller and Google co-founder Larry Page. The following day sees Fox News contributor Stuart Varney play host to Time Warner Cable’s Glenn Britt, Cox chief Jim Robbins, RealNetworks’ Rob Glaser and Sprint’s Len Lauer. CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo closes National with a panel of heavies including Time Warner’s Jeff Bewkes, News Corp’s Peter Chernin and NBC Universal’s Bob Wright. — Too bad CTAM’s preliminary session at National is not being held this year. As a cable insider, CTAM chiefChar Beales arguably was among National’s most astute moderators.
