Comcast Helps Spread Mommy’s Light

Comcast’s Eastern division was honored Oct. 27 as Sponsor of the Year by the Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund. The organization works with maternally bereaved kids and teens whose mothers have died or are terminally ill. Comcast was honored for its three-year, $25,000 commitment to the fund and for the contributions of Comcast Eastern division president Michael Doyle, who chaired the First Annual Mommy’s Light Golf Classic, which raised more than $100,000 to benefit the group. “Through Comcast’s support, we have been able to improve the quality of training materials and sessions, and better link volunteer interests with opportunities,” said Laura Munts, executive director, Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund, on presenting the 2006 Sponsor of the Year Award to William Bronson, manager of government affairs for Comcast’s Eastern division.
