Motorola’s Home and Networks Mobility business has rolled out the NBBS remote device management platform’s WiMAX solution. With the introduction of this new NBBS solution, Motorola has extended its device and service management platform to serve broadband wireless carriers.

The NBBS WiMAX Solution allows WiMAX network operators to remotely activate, access, configure, and troubleshoot a full portfolio of fixed and/or mobile WiMAX devices; including CPE, PC Cards and handsets. Furthermore, the platform is architected, so that operators of any size will be able to use a single NBBS system for scalable remote management. The solution is standards-based and compliant with Broadband Forum’s TR-069 and Open Mobile Alliance (OMA-DM) management protocols, ensuring interoperability with WiMAX devices from a variety of vendors.
