Paul E. Estridge Homes and ERS Data Solutions have jointly deployed Motorola’s wireless broadband network to deliver free Internet service to residents of Martindale-Brightwood, IN, a historic, low income neighborhood on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The initial deployment is intended to provide Internet access to more than 450 homes in the free access neighborhood (FAN), and plans are already under way to expand it to an area of three square miles, covering close to 4,000 homes and businesses. The wireless network is designed to help bridge the digital divide for previously underserved families and has become an educational system that provides local students with access they need outside of the classroom.

The high-speed wireless broadband network deployed by ERS Data Solutions combines Motorola’s Duo (4300 series) mesh nodes and PMP 400 Series point-to-multipoint solution to provide robust and secure connectivity across the entire coverage area.
