CODETEL in the Dominican Republic has selected Motorola’s Communications Convergence Engine (CCE) to launch a new pay TV service offering in the Caribbean. CCE is an IPTV software solution designed to enable operators to rapidly conceive, design, package, deploy and manage a broad range of compelling content and services.

CODETEL deployed its pay TV service, using IP infrastructure (IPTV), in the Dominican Republic under the Claro TV brand. It is the first America Movil (AMX) subsidiary in Latin America to launch the service, which is intended to benefit Dominican TV subscribers with a variety of features previously unavailable in the country.
