Korean MSO Qrix Communications has chosen Motorola’s DOCSIS 3.0-qualified CMTS and DOCSIS 3.0-certified SURFboard cable modems to deliver ultra-broadband services to residential and commercial customers. The BSR 64000 CMTS/edge router platform with channel-bonding technology and SURFboard modems will be deployed to provide Internet access services up to 160 Mbps. Qrix applications will include HD VOD for viewing at home or on the go, networked multiplayer gaming, voice and video conferencing, as well as peer-to-peer networking applications.
