Motorola has announced the commercial availability of the TX32 Decoupled Downstream Module. The solution is designed to enable cable operators to deliver significantly increased bandwidth to new DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0 cable modems while preserving operator investment in legacy DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 1.x and 2.0 cable modems. It will be demonstrated live for the first time in Europe at ANGA Cable 2008. The addition of the TX32 to Motorola’s channel-bonding portfolio is intended to allow existing channel bonded networks to seamlessly evolve to I-CMTS environments with a software upgrade and the installation of a TX32.
