MSOs should offer more services among people of color, especially VOD, HD, high-speed and a linear menu of English and in-language diginets, the Horowitz forum was told. According to Horowitz’s latest urban markets study, 36% of respondents want more U.S.-made nets in their own language, while 62% of African-Americans, 47% of Latinos and 33% of Asians surveyed want more English-language channels aimed at them. African-Americans "want more channels for adults and families, as well as more nets targeted to youngsters. That’s a big new opportunity window," added Horowitz marketing vp Adriana Waterston. 1,300+ people, including more than 1,100 people of color participated in the survey.-Cable World’s Simon Applebaum
