The past year has been quite the success story for Lowe. OWN HD has grown by 79% this year under her leadership, and she has achieved those stellar results by proving the value of the network and its ever-growing talent pool to affiliates. Lowe’s response when ask who she’d like to trade jobs with for one month underscores her dedication: “I would swap jobs with any of the buyers in our business to gain insight from their side of the table,” she says.
How do you define success in the workplace?
My definition of success, is being able to make a difference within my company. I want to continue to learn and be challenged in my career. And I want to work with people I like and respect. All of these are elements of success.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
Given how connected and accessible we are through modern technology 24 hours a day, "balance" is a state of mind…love your job – love your life, and feel blessed you have both.
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
I would swap jobs with any of the top buyers in our business to gain insight from their side of the table.
