Commentary By Paul S Maxwell Coping in a … … customer-centric world… can cable do it? For the 6th time (believe it or not), it is my privilege to moderate the opening CEO panel at Cable-Tec Expo in Denver on Wednesday morning this week. And it’s another great panel with, in no particular order, Oxygen’s Gerry Laybourne, Suddenlink’s Jerry Kent, CableLabs’ Dick Green, Liberty Global’s Mike Fries and C-Cor’s Dave Woodle. It was Dave who postulated the headline question. And it’s a good one. It’s an excellent way to discuss cable’s opportunities. So, how can the cable industry deliver what ever-more-demanding customers want … whatever they want whenever they want it and however they want it no matter what it is? And it could be video, broadband, voice, mobile, etc. … We’ll talk about that and all it implies, including these issues: And we might even have some answers (Leslie Ellis and her CTO panel will make any corrections needed when they follow us) … see ya’ll there.
