Guthman was instrumental in TV One doubling its original programming over the past 12 months, including the addition of “The Rickey Smiley Show,” which launched as the highest-rated original premiere in network history. A self-described TV junkie, she’d switch jobs for a month with anyone working on the set of Netflix’s “House of Cards.” “It’s one of my favorite shows,” she tells us.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Thinking up programming stunts is a lot of fun. It’s like putting together a visual "mix tape" for your best friend.
 
How do you define success in the workplace?
Corny though it may sound, it’s all about finding your passion. If you can find what drives you and get to do that? That’s success!
 
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month?
I’d take any job working on the set of “House of Cards”—it’s one of my favorite shows!
