Lindsay Broadband, a manufacturer of RF distribution products for the CATV and wired communication industries, announced today the newest addition to its line of communication products, the MoCA Series Low Pass Point of Entry Filter

With the growing demand of the next-generation cable customer installing services such as download on-demand, digital video recording, and in-home video and data sharing, MoCA (Media over Coaxial Alliance) compatible network components are required. Lindsay now delivers low cost Point of Entry Filters to maintain system integrity.

The filter is used at the subscriber entry to prevent interference to and from neighboring MoCA installations. Adjacent subscribers with independently operating MoCA systems will be isolated from each other by 100dB minimum when the filter is installed at each drop.

The filter is also designed to reflect in the MoCA band, allowing it to aid in the throughput of the MoCA signal on the subscriber side of the installation.
