As the cable industry gathers in New Orleans for The Cable Show, LG Electronics is bringing the latest technology to a local school in partnership with the NCTA, Cable in the Classroom, Discovery Education, Cox New Orleans, Motorola, CommScope and Juniper Networks. At Benjamin Banneker Elementary School, 32 LG flat-panel HDTVs have been installed in classrooms and conference areas.

The installation is a key element of the cable industry’s "CableCares" initiative, a community service project to assist ongoing recovery efforts in New Orleans, including rebuilding school playgrounds and libraries, providing educational enhancements for city schools, and additional fundraising to support rebuilding efforts throughout the city.
