Ellis is an independent technology columnist, analyst and author, who is based in Denver but known worldwide for her cable prowess and ability to put industry techno-lexicon into simple English. For more than 13 years, she has written a biweekly column for Multichannel News called “Translation Please” and aimed at demystifying commonly used cable and broadband technology terms. Ellis is a frequent speaker on technology matters, and she hosted a variety of panels at The Cable Show in June, including a Tech Talk with Comcast CTO Tony Werner.
