KPN, a telecommunications provider in The Netherlands, has chosen Edgeware to deploy its distributed video delivery architecture and products as part of a solution provided by Nokia Siemens Network (NSN).

NSN has selected and implemented Edgeware as a key element of its overall advanced on-demand TV and video offering and specifically its Ubiquity Multiscreen TV solution. Using this solution, NSN will replace KPN’s existing platforms with Edgeware’s Orbit-2X and WebTV servers.

Edgeware’s Orbit video server platform features built-in capability to record live TV channels, enabling KPN’s IPTV infrastructure to deliver its subscribers advanced on-demand services.
