Knology will deploy FourthWall Media’s enhanced binary interchange format (EBIF) platform powering Caller ID and other feature-rich applications. Previously, Knology had deployed the FourthWall EBIF Platform to a portion of its Montgomery, Alabama system. This new agreement expands the offering to include additional markets within Knology’s Southeast and Midwestern footprint to support the deployment of Caller ID.

"FWM’s EBIF platform enables Knology to efficiently deliver new and innovative applications to our customers," said John Treece, chief technology officer of Knology, in a statement. "Enhanced Caller ID is just one example of a number of products within the portfolio that can add immediate value to customers, and enhance the interactive experience."

FourthWall Media is working with three of the top six U.S. cable operators as well as smaller MSOs and independents to provide the EBIF platform, which is now running in millions of homes.
