TiVo has partnered with Entone so that IPTV ops that use Entone’s hybrid IPTV devices can access TiVo’s cloud platform and user interface.

The deal highlights TiVo’s drive in recent years to work directly with the global pay-TV industry. Over the past year, the company has announced 6 new deals with operators serving roughly 3 million subscribers in the US and abroad. TiVo recently soft launched with Sweden’s Com Hem, marking its first integration with an IPTV provider.

Privately-held Entone’s products are deployed by more than 100 operators worldwide, including the Ukraine’s Volia and United Service, a subsidiary of United Electric Coop of Missouri. The companies will be showcasing the integrated solution at the IBC Show in Amsterdam Sept 13-17.

"With extensive global IPTV deployments, Entone is the perfect partner for TiVo to build on our momentum with service providers worldwide," said Joseph Weber, Vice President of Technology Strategy at TiVo.
