In her current position, Payne oversees negotiations for video content rights across all platforms with major content providers including Fox, Viacom, Scripps, Rainbow, AETN and numerous regional, professional and collegiate sports channels. She is actively involved in the company’s deployment of VOD, broadband and other advanced video services. For her, the biggest cable story of the year is “how video is evolving across multiple platforms for an emerging and diverse set of distributors.” Known for her integrity, Payne’s diligence ensures that excellence will prevail, and her loyalty ensures that her leadership will endure.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is successfully negotiating a large deal that gives our customers robust options for video content on multiple platforms. It is exciting to see the many complicated parts of a deal come together to benefit our customers.
 
What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
It’s how video is evolving across multiple platforms for an emerging and diverse set of distributors. It’s amazing to see what has changed in the last few years and what is next.
 
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
I would love to swap jobs with Sara Bareilles and tour the country performing. Of course, I’d need to borrow her singing and song-writing ability for the month, too!
