Kaonmedia has licensed the ANT Galio Client for its latest range of set-top boxes. The agreement is intended to enable Kaonmedia to develop visually rich interactive multimedia services based on the ANT Galio Platform. The new range of set-top boxes will be targeted at the retail and operator markets and are expected to launch in Q4 2009.

The selection of ANT Galio Client builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Kaonmedia is an existing licensee of ANT Galio Browser. The addition of the Galio Client is intended to enable Kaonmedia to develop a range of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, IP and hybrid configurations supporting both SD and HD services.

Denver University Set to Buy Cable Center Building

The Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center has entered into a tentative agreement with the University of Denver to sell the more than 75,000-square-foot building that’s housed the nonprofit educational arm of the cable industry since 2001. Financials weren’t disclosed.
