Motorola’s Mobile Devices and Home business today announced that Kabel BW, a cable network operator in Germany, has selected new EuroDOCSIS 3.0 solutions from Motorola to offer personalized media experiences to customers in cities in the German federal state Baden-Wuerttemberg with broadband speeds up to 100 Mbps.

The extended services portfolio of Kabel BW is based on Motorola’s BSR 64000 Integrated CMTS (I-CMTS) and TX32 decoupled downstream module. In addition, Motorola provided integration and implementation services in support of Kabel BW’s network rollout.

Motorola’s I-CMTS can support two fully redundant TX32 modules and is designed to offer operators five times more downstream capacity while reducing the cost per port.
