SVP, Distribution, Advanced Services & Digital, Fox Networks
Simon oversees distribution for the company’s advanced services, including the recent debut of Fox Now, Fox Network’s TVE authentication initiative with a revised window for free streaming of network programming. She also helped establish new digital networks such as Speed2, Fox Soccer Plus and BTN2Go. Her radar screen now includes the FXNow launch. “At Fox, I get to put the very best portfolio of content available anywhere in the world on demand, online, on any platform anyone could want “it’,” she says. “That’s about as good as it gets!”
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I’ve been in digital content for about 20 years—at Fox, I get to put the very best portfolio of content available anywhere in the world on demand, online, on any platform anyone could want it. That’s about as good as it gets!
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
As cliché as it sounds, I try as hard as possible to live in the moment when I’m with my two children. It’s my own kind of meditation, and makes everything come into perspective.
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
Jon Landgraf. I’m not saying I’d have any idea how to do what he does—so how about if I could just “be” him for even a day? The FX suite is the most vibrant set of networks out there. Pure genius.
