Japanese Cable Operator Picks Sigma Systems
Sigma Systems has been selected by iTSCOM, a cable operator headquartered in Tokyo, to manage triple-play service fulfillment and device provisioning for its 250,000 subscribers. In addition, iTSCOM has also become a managed service provider of Sigma Systems’ Service Management Platform (SMP) and Device Provisioning Manager (DPM), with the ability to offer these integrated products via a managed solution in the cloud to cable operators throughout Japan.
Offering high-speed Internet, VoIP and digital video services, iTSCOM will utilize both Sigma Systems’ SMP and DPM within its own DOCSIS 3.0 and PacketCable network. The combined Sigma Systems’ OSS solution will rapidly accelerate the automation and deployment of iTSCOM’s triple-play services and service bundles across its serving area.
The SMP is a multi-service fulfillment solution that provides a common platform from which to handle order management and activation of any bundled service offering.
The DPM is an automated device provisioning platform that enables next-generation operators to support both IPv4 and IPv6 devices and address space management from a common system. With DPM, iTSCOM can accurately configure, upgrade and provision cable modems, e-MTAs, SIP end-points and future IP devices.
