President, Domestic Distribution and Marketing, Entertainment Studios Networks
Arouh had a big year, securing key distribution deals across multiple platforms to solidify Entertainment Studios Networks’ burgeoning position in the industry: Justice Central is now carried by CenturyLink and AT&T U-verse, NCTC has access to six HD ESN networks and CenturyLink launched all seven ESN networks. “I love building new network brands and securing distribution across multiple platforms,” she says. “It’s an exciting time, especially given the changing media landscapes, and Entertainment Studios Networks is well positioned for the next chapter.”
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Shaping our company’s future to reach viewers who are consuming content in new ways.
What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
The industry hit all-time cable stock highs which signals the best of the business is in front of us.
How do you define success in the workplace?
Success is celebrating the contributions of our employees which will ultimately guide our company’s next great story or revenue stream.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
Focus in the moment—I liken work/life balance to my golf game; I can only make a difference on matters that are immediately in front of me.
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
I have one of the best jobs in the business, and I would not trade my role for all the tea leaves in China—even on a bad day. I love building new network brands and securing distribution across multiple platforms. Byron Allen provides me the necessary runway to build our linear and digital businesses, and it is an exciting time especially given the changing media landscapes, and Entertainment Studios Networks is well positioned for the next chapter.
