SVP, Distribution

A+E Networks

Rice’s wheeling-and-dealing continues to open up new content monetization opportunities for AETN and mutually beneficial contracts with distribution partners. With killer content coming out the pipeline, she is in prime position to turn ratings into great financial gains. What’s her guide to success? “Work hard, be a constant student of the business and always be a team player,” she says.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Unequivocally it is being a part of the great distribution team led by David Zagin and of course working under the dynamic leadership of Abbe Raven and Nancy Dubuc.

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
Quack, quack, quack… “Duck Dynasty” of course …making us all happy, happy, happy!

How do you define success in the workplace?
Success is what you make it. Work hard, be a constant student of the business and always be a team player.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
The best trick is realizing that there is no such thing. Finding the right mix is unique to every individual and you’ll know it when you find it.

Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?

Any of the guys from “Duck Dynasty” so that I can hang out with Uncle Si and “work hard and nap hard”!
