Horseracing nets HRTV and TVG continue to add subs at a swift pace, with HRTV announcing a multi-year deal yesterday for carriage on select Comcast systems as part of a digital sports package. The deal means HRTV now has carriage with 7 of the top 10 ops (Cablevision, Mediacom and DirecTV are the holdouts). Comcast’s initial HRTV launches are planned for MD and S CA, with the potential of future HRTV launches on additional Comcast systems. TVG launched this month in Cox’s New Orleans system digital sports tier. After the Comcast launches, HRTV will be received by 12mln homes. TVG has 13mln subs.
