EVP, Programming & Human Resources Mediacom
Commisso-Weinand is a stalwart leader who steers Mediacom’s programming deals. And she knows the cable business inside out. She began her cable career at Time Warner Cable in 1977, then had exec stints at Times Mirror Cable, TCI, Storer Cable Communications and prior to Mediacom, for 11 years at Comcast. If she could job-swap for a month, she’d want to be chairwoman of the FCC “so I could get a better understanding of how our regulatory bodies work.”
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Knowing the collective efforts of our 4,700 employees are making a meaningful difference in the lives of people in the Heartland of America.
What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
Continued recognition that the fiber/coax network our cable engineers developed is truly the highway by which every kind of content provider travels.
Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
I would like to be Chairwoman of the FCC for 30 days so I could get a better understanding of how our regulatory bodies work.
