IPITEK has announced that its Internet Media Transport division has a new software release for its MSP-1GE and MSP-10G transporter platforms. The new System 3.2 software, which improves operational performance of Ethernet-based business services and features Node Wizard Network Management System, recently successfully completed a field trial in an 80-node MSO metro network.

The software provides a two-stage system for aggregation and transport of business-class Ethernet and helps protect against operator errors while enhancing circuit-layer management. It also helps conserve fiber by using a built-in dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) or single fiber bi-directional multiplexing to the customer premise when needed.
