Internap Network Services selected Concurrent’s recently introduced eFactor to simplify multi-format video delivery for live or on-demand content.

"The new in-stream transmuxing capabilities in Internap’s Content Delivery Network leverage Concurrent’s eFactor offering, and particularly the Transmux SDK feature," said Pete Mastin, vice president/CDN business unit at Internap, in a statement. "This enables us to dynamically repackage content in transmission to meet the formatting requirements of a variety of end-user devices."

The eFactor product suite is designed to simplify the task of delivering multi-format video to varied devices and is applicable to various markets including CDNs, Internet content aggregators, telcos and MSOs. eFactor’s Transmux solution is designed as a software development kit (SDK) that enables on-the-fly repackaging of a single source video asset to the three market-leading HTTP adaptive bitrate formats, including Apple, Adobe and Microsoft.
