Global data-center-services provider CyrusOne and Infinera are partnering on CyrusOne’s Texas Internet Exchange (IX), the first statewide IX in the United States, the two say. The IX network, powered by the Infinera DTN and based on 100 Gb/s photonic integrated circuits (PICs), is expected to provide high-speed cloud-based services between CyrusOne’s major facilities and third-party carrier hotels in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio as well as to customer data-center locations. The service is set to launch by the end of this month.
