iN DEMAND’s VOD content soon will be available via the HITS On Demand Content Distribution Network. ?

HITS On Demand Content Distribution Network, a new cloud-based solution from HITS, offers third-party operators additional on-demand library content with no need for additional local storage. The new network uses centralized content hosting, edge caches and VOD servers to maximize local storage, and it supports MPEG-2 set-top boxes. ?

“Working with iN DEMAND allows HITS to offer thousands of additional on demand titles to our cable affiliates,” says Leslie Russell, vice president/GM at HITS. “Making this type of long-tail entertainment available through a cloud-based environment allows operators to fulfill the demand for deeper library content without buying or maintaining more storage locally.  It is a natural fit for HITS, which continuously develops solutions designed to reduce up-front investment and maximize operator return.”?
