Incognito Software has added an auto-configuration server component to its globally deployed device provisioning software, Broadband Command Center, allowing the software to provision TR-069 devices. The auto-configuration server will be showcased for the first time to the North American market at the CableShow, May 11-13, in Los Angeles, CA.

Recently, the cable industry has seen the emergence of multimedia residential gateways, which utilize traditional DOCSIS provisioning and TR-069 provisioning to manage value-added features such as gateway configuration, VoIP, WiFi, 3G femtocell, and IPTV set-top box services. The auto-configuration server extends Broadband Command Center’s capabilities allowing existing customers to not only manage these multimedia gateways, but also support service expansion to non-cable systems such as DSL, PON and WiMAX where TR-069 is the dominant provisioning and management system.
