Incognito Software has announced the creation of a DOCSIS 3.0-IPv6 Interoperability Program. This program is designed to enable CPE and CMTS vendors to test the provisioning of their products in a multi-vendor, IPv6 environment. The need for this type of interop program is underscored by the fact that the provisioning of DOCSIS 3.0 compliant equipment differs significantly from DOCSIS 1.x and 2.x equipment, since it relies on IPv6 addressing and DHCPv6 auto-configuration.
