DirecTV and Comcast settled their ongoing legal dispute regarding HD advertising. It began in May when the DBS provider claimed the MSO’s ad campaign touting a consumer survey asserting that satellite customers preferred Comcast’s HD picture was false and misleading. Comcast eventually filed counterclaims citing DirecTV’s ads. Terms of the settlement weren’t disclosed, but Comcast said it can continue to cite the survey.
