Imagine Communications has announced a suite of multi-codec, multi-screen solutions for broadcast, on demand and online applications. The ICE Video Platform provides advanced solutions for real-time and off-line video processing over any distribution network. Imagine will demonstrate the new capabilities at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.

Imagine Communication’s solutions at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo will include:

  • h.264 and MPEG-2 encoding and transcoding — Compression performance combined with ICE Illustrate, an image enhancement technology, distinguishes the ICE Broadcast System 4.0 as a powerful multi-codec video processing platform. Demonstrations will include 4:1 SDV rate clamping and 10:1 MPEG-4 HD multiplexing.
  • Multi-Screen transcoding for TV Anywhere — Multi-rate, multi-resolution flexibility combined with high video quality enables TV Anywhere with stream reliability.
  • VOD Recoding for 1080P quality and 3:1 efficiency — ICE Illustrate image processing not only converts 1080i HD to 1080P HD, but utilizes unique enhancement technology to improve source quality while reducing bit rate and increasing network capacity by up to 50 percent.
