Attention, Florida tourists and residents: No more worries about looking for a Wi-Fi connection or missing anything important at work while you are out "playing." Bright House Networks plans to continue its buildout of public and enterprise hot spots throughout 2012, adding thousands of Sunshine State locations.

The hot spots allow any Wi-Fi-enabled device (personal computers, tablets, smartphones, digital audio players) to connect to the Internet.  Customers who subscribe to Bright House Networks’ Road Runner service will have Wi-Fi access in any of the operator’s Wi-Fi locations free when they use their My Services or Road Runner login credentials. Those who don’t subscribe to Bright House can purchase Wi-Fi access on a per-usage basis.

The MSO initially concentrated its Bright House Networks Wi-Fi buildout in marina areas, including Clearwater, Daytona Beach, Ybor City and River Walk. It’s also focusing on areas where its customers travel heavily, including International Drive in Orlando and shopping centers.

Notes Leo Cloutier, senior vice president/Strategy and Business Development, "Our goal is to offer Bright House Networks Wi-Fi coverage in all of the places people spend their time – beaches, parks, boat docks or even at the ballgame."
