Charlotte Bobcats owner Bob Johnson plans to leave his post as CEO of BET; his 5-yr contract expires at year-end. Johnson had already ceded day-to-day tasks at BET, which he sold to Viacom for $3bln in ’00. — Bobcats pres/COO Ed Tapscott told The Observer it was "way too soon to determine if starting C-SET on Time Warner’s basic digital tier was a mistake," although he hoped "we would have more distribution around the region" by now.
