Noting that when you switch on a TV "anywhere in the world…you’re bound to tune in to the influence of John C. Malone," The Johns Hopkins University presented Dr. Malone with its Distinguished Alumnus Award in Denver late last year. The Liberty chief earned a master’s degree in industrial management at Hopkins in 1964 and a PhD in operations research in 1969. Cablevision COO Tom Rutledge and Weather Channel president Debora Wilson will be presented with CTPAA’s President’s Award at the Beacon Awards Gala on March 21.
