The S CA chapter of CTAM honored Hispanic ad agency Castells & Associados at its 6th Golden Palm Awards Gala. The agency made a clean sweep in the multicultural category with their direct mail campaign with Adelphia winning, and their campaigns with Comcast National and Comcast-L.A. nabbing the runner up spots. — This year’s Golden Palms decided to take a page out of Oscar’s book and go upscale with the gift bags (no cable channel premiums-T-shirts, pens, notepads-allowed). Instead, each guest received a hand-painted martini glass from Sol Chicks, Van Gogh Vodka, Santa Barbara Olive Company olives, Lynne Jerome coasters, Lovelight Candle’s handmade candles, scrubs from Soul Scents and moisturizer from Body Breathe (now don’t you wish you’d gone?). Judges also received a gift certificate for Beverly Hills’ Roxbury Spa, truffles and a matching shaker for the martini glass. Kudos to Fox Cable Nets vp Michael Cooper for sponsoring the bags.
